Activity 1: Project Management
The project management will be provided by the beneficiary. The project team will have the following composition:

– Economic expert
– Protected areas expert
– Biodiversity expert
Activity 2: Release project press conference
At the beginning of the project will be organized a project launching conference, where will be invited media representatives, local authorities, universities representatives, members of environmental protection institutions, NGOs, a total of minimum 30 participants.
Activity 3: Making public procurement procedures
Technical specifications will be developed and, on that base, all necessary procedures for procurement of the project will be made, with legislation compliance and the procurement plan.
Activity 4: Equipment and software acquisitions, necessary for the project
All goods and services necessary for the project will be procured.
Activity 5: Making a project web site
It will be created a project website in Romanian, English and Hungarian, which will contain information about the project, beneficiary, financing program, project activities and a protected areas description, included in the project. The study conclusions conducted by the project will be published on the site.
Activity 6: The study execution regarding the economic value of natural protected areas and Natura 2000 sites, included in the project.
It will be conducted a study including the economic value information of protected areas, feasibility studies related to environmental infrastructure adjustment in protected areas, the impact of these arrangements on the economic value of protected areas and how the ecosystems from protected areas contribute to the main economic sectors.
Activity 7: Development Workshop „Protected natural areas – present and future!”
At this workshop will be invited to attend minimum 20 people, representatives of local authorities, universities, environmental protection institutions, NGOs. The activity will conclude with a report on the protected areas and Natura 2000 sites status, the development prospects and conservation and protection measures.
Activity 8: Development workshop „The economic value of protected natural areas”
At this workshop will be invited to attend minimum 20 people, representatives of local authorities, universities, financial institutions, NGOs. The activity will conclude with a report on the protected areas and Natura 2000 sites economic status, the development prospects and economic recovery measures from sustainable development view.
Activity 9: Development workshop „Protected natural areas and their impact on major economic sectors”
At this workshop will be invited to attend minimum 40 people, representatives of local authorities, universities, financial institutions, environmental protection institutions, NGOs. The activity will conclude with a report regarding the possibilities of protected areas economic and Natura 2000 sites recovery, the development prospects and economic recovery measures from the sustainable development perspective, in order to prevent biodiversity loss and habitat restoration, where applicable.
Activity 10: Information campaign regarding the protected natural areas impact the economic sectors.
At this stage there will be made 24.000 leaflets (3.000 leaflets for each of the eight Natura 2000 sites included in the project) who will present the protected areas and their economic value and biodiversity conservation importance. The leaflets will be distributed in local communities from the protected areas territory. Two articles will appear in print and / or online advertising. It will be done one presentation film of minimum 10 minutes, about protected areas and their economic impact which will be broadcast on a national channel, in primetime and a regional channel, in primetime.
It will be also organized a course for at least 30 young rangers from local communities across Natura 2000 sites included in the project, the custodians of the protected areas and representatives of environmental NGOs. There will be made other promotional materials (1.000 custom shirts distributed in schools across protected areas and at the ranger course, 10 field equipment customized for the project team (jacket, shirt, cap, raincoat, mountain boots, umbrella) and 100 stickers with the insignia of financing program for the equipment made by the project, also it will be installed information boards, one in each location, in all the 8 Natura 2000 sites.
Activity 11: Project closing conference
At the end of the project, a project closing conference will be orgnaized, conference where will be invited media representatives, local authorities, universities representatives, environmental protection institutions, NGOs, minimum 30 participants.
